Medical Training Coordinator, Victorian Palliative Medicine Training Program
Helen has been the Medical Training Coordinator with the Victorian Palliative Medicine Training Program since its inception in 2007.
She has practised palliative medicine in Victoria since 1979. Initially her interests lay in chronic neurology, but she became more involved with mainstream palliative care and has been medical director at both Bethlehem Hospital and Caritas Christi Hospice. With the establishment of the Centre for Palliative Care at Melbourne University in 1996 she was appointed to Caritas Christi Hospice, Peter McCallum Cancer Centre and Eastern Palliative Care, a large community service. She has also been involved in undergraduate and post graduate teaching in Palliative Care for many years.
