Research Nurse

Anne is currently one of two Research Nurses co-ordinating and recruiting patients to the Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative studies (PaCCSC) (clinical drug trials of Ketamine for cancer pain, Octreotide for bowel obstruction, Megestrol for Anorexia).  She also recruits and tracks carers to the NHMRC ‘Improving the psychological wellbeing of family caregivers of home-based palliative care patients: a Randomized Controlled Trial’

Anne has 30 years’ experience in nursing and midwifery, including childbirth education, palliative care and oncology nursing in in-patient and community teams.  Her research experience includes recruitment and interviewing for the Early Births Study (LaTrobe University), Prognosis in Palliative Care study (UK), COPD study and carer support studies.
