Purpose:

This study aims to test the effectiveness of an intervention which uses available anti-nausea medication specifically targeted to the likely cause of nausea for that individual to reduce the severity and impact of the symptom. It also tests second line medications where nausea is unrelieved.

Method:

This is a randomised controlled trial with approximately 500 patients recruited from seven major health providers, including all patients with nausea related to advanced cancer.
