Duration:
This is a 2-year, multi-site project, which commenced in January 2008.
Purpose:
This study will develop and evaluate an educational program offered to family caregivers who are supporting a relative who is receiving palliative care in an in-patient setting.
Method:
The effect of the education intervention will be assessed by comparing pre- and post-test data collected from participants. The primary outcome measures include the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ), the Family Inventory of Needs (FIN), and Preparedness and Competency scales.
