First successful research submission

The PCRNV is pleased to announce the successful submission of its first research proposal to the VCA. The research project is titled ‘Exploring factors influencing site of death and care trajectories in the last 12 months of life’ and will be the first of four research proposals, which are to be developed over the next two years.
The project is being led by Dr Jennifer Philip and Prof. Peter Hudson (both from the Centre for Palliative Care, part of St Vincent’s Hospital and a Collaborative Centre of the University of Melbourne), with a large team of investigators from several institutions, including the following: Associate Professor Vijaya Sundararajan, Monash University and Victorian Research Data Linkages, Department of Health, Professor Annette Street, La Trobe University, Professor Margaret O’Connor, Monash University, Dr Bruce Rumbold, La Trobe University, Associate Professor Peter Martin, Barwon Health and Deakin University, Associate Professor Kate Jackson, Monash University, Professor Sanchia Aranda, NSW Cancer Institute and The University of Melbourne, Dr Rachel Zordan, Centre for Palliative Care, Ms Jackie Kearney, Victorian Department of Health, Dr Dell Horey, La Trobe University, Ms Lise Pittman, Barwon Health, Dr Leeroy William, Southern Health, and Dr Gaye Moore, Centre for Palliative Care.
